Has the rebranding worked?
by MrTheocratic init's been several years since the start of the rebranding of jehovahs witnesses.
i believe it started with the website change.
ever since then the religion has moved in a more modern direction.

I genuinely believe that the rebranding has worked - to generate disillusionment and apathy amongst many average J.W.'s. who are bewildered at the predominantly "mute witnessing" trolley ministry, as well as the abominably scripted and sterile CLAM workbook & meeting. (not to mention the constant "donation" pleas)
Example: apart from the Bible reading which has to be 4 minutes or less, every single item in next week's CLAM meeting is based on a WTBTS publication - not the Bible! No room for personal expression or insight!
Otherwise, "zealous" ones are gulping it all down as they want to be more convinced than ever that the end must be near!

Has there ever been a time when someone has been outed as a JW mole on this forum?
by Tenacious inhaving been a jw for decades i'm used to watching what i do, say, or watch, in fear of being snitched on.. therefore, i the question begs.. there have been instances, i won't say how, where i've felt some members are being deliberate in their attempt to feign support for the anti-jw rhetoric on this forum.. any input is greatly appreciated..

Good question Tenacious!
As a J.W. once said, "Whatever happens in the world, happens in the org."
"Wordly" attitudes are prevalent and self-evident throughout the "true religion" - especially amongst those in authority.
Their "theocratic warfare" deludes them into believing that lying is justifiable in certain cases - such as outing an "apostate"?
If fading, divulge nothing incriminating in person or online.

I'm Fed up and I can't take it anymore!
by MTSman ini was born in four gen, been d.f.d.
for about eight years now.
my father had always been a true company man, although more times than i can count, he's always been floppy.

MTSMan, you are well aware that you're parents' treatment of you is the consequence of the org's perverted dogmas and practices.
Whatever you do, don't return evil for evil, otherwise you/we are no better than the deluded self-righteous ones. Keep the door open - while you get on with your own life.
I have recently been renounced as a family member and declared as "dead" by two self-righteous J.W. family members. My crime? I sent them factual media information about the org's Brooklyn sell-off, the use of a showbiz JW (Mr. King) in the R.C. video, as well as their use of a "worldly" company's music as soundtrack for the resurrection video. I was accused of saying "negative things" about the org!!! (not about God/Jesus/Bible)
In many J.W.'s minds, Matthew 12:32 now reads, "....whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the organization, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in this system of things nor in that to come."
The unforgiveable sin has now been "clarified" in the J.W. psyche.
Hang in there, and be ready to forgive their blindness - if requested.

Well, the Apostasy Accusations Begins...
by Sorry inso, it finally happened.
the first time i have been called out for being an apostate.
it started out innocently enough: my family and i were watching a tv show.

A moment's pleasure in telling them truths will not outweigh the potential repercussions for yourself.
For your own sake, "let sleeping dogs lie" until you are ready in all respects to deal with the indoctrinated J.W. backlash. It will come - sooner or later.

If You Could Ask the GB Or One Of Its Members...

historical, philosophical, theological, eschatological, anything.

"In the February 2017 Watchtower, page 26, paragraph 12, the Governing Body confesses that it is neither inspired nor infallible and can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction. If any other J.W. admitted such serious failings, they would be subjected to an investigation and subsequent punishment by a judicial committee - in order to maintain the unity and spiritual cleanliness of the congregation. Why is the Governing Body above the laws they force on others?"

Why Did JWs Abandon Brooklyn for the Sticks?
by Room 215 ini may have missed this, but can anyone tell me what was the pretext the gb concocted to justify their abandonment of a perfectly suitable, high-profile, high-visibility complex in what is arguably the world's greatest metropolis for the bucolic isolation of upstate new york.
any how does the move square with their purported belief in the imminence of armageddon?

Every time J.W.'s receive "news" from the org, they should ask themselves this question -
"Is this direction/decision motivated by cash?"
If they're honest, they'll admit that the constant acquisition & requests for money have become like a needle stuck on the record.
For those J.W.'s who disagree, wait until your K.H. or a nearby one is sold off, then ask 'Why?'

God's Kingdom Rules & other publications...Have you noticed ????
by tor1500 ini was just doing my midweek studying...reading god's kingdom rules book...so far has anyone noticed many of the stories mention australia.
page 73 a momentous convention...a convention was held in july of 1931 & it was transmitted via more than 450 radio stations in australia, etc....they seem to mention australia more & more in the wt, books, etc.
this is a set-up...keep on watch...this book is being studied at this time for a reason...how timely.

Mrs. Searcher asked me yesterday why we're not hearing from ex/J.W.'s on this site how the congregations in Australian have reacted to the A.R.C.
Is there a lot of murmuring/upset at what was revealed publicly? Be interesting to hear.

To all elders, some probing questions on assault by a member by another member.
by FatFreek 2005 inthe title should have read, "assault by a member toward another member".
(unfortunately, i couldn't find a way to edit the title).
you happen to be driving by what looks to be your own empty kingdom hall and something doesn't look quite right.

I promise that this is the truth:
While having a cup of tea and a chat with an elder and his wife at their home, (former congregation) I asked him point-blank, "If a brother telephoned you tonight and told you that he'd just stabbed someone to death, would you 'phone Bethel for advice or call the police?"
His reply: "It would depend if it was another Witness he'd killed!"
Elders become a different species when they receive their "glorious" title.

WTBTS' corrupt translation - to elevate elders!

The WT March 2017, p.11, par. 13 quotes Ephesians 4:8 as saying, "The Bible refers to them as 'gifts in men.'"
However, the org's own Kingdom Interlinear Translation (and every other Bible translation) gives a truthful translation of the verse:
K.I.T. = "Through which he is saying.......................and he gave gifts to the men."
These couldn't be the gifts which Paul spoke about at 1 Corinthians chapter 12, could they? :)
I honestly wonder how many J.W.'s look at their elders and regard them as "gifts."
Pity that Witnesses don't use their K.I.T. to verify what the RNWT says!
